Maintenance Tip:
Try not to get saltwater, sand or any debris onto or into your reel. If so using a garden hose, lightly mist over the outside of the reel to remove any residual. Next, grip the outfit near the reel seat firmly and shake off any excess water and wipe it down with a clean rag to finish it off. Loosen the drag right back so it does not compress the drag washers and let your gear air dry out of the sun. Once it’s dry you can apply reel grease directly to parts with a small paint brush. We also recommend using reel oil to lube the handle knob bearings, line roller bearings and spool bearings.
